It's simple to use the software, but it has many advanced features. BitTorrent client is a free torrent downloader program which is very easy to use. It has good speed, prosed cons of the application are that it doesn't have compatibility with all devices and Windows systems. You can join or leave a swarm at any time without closing the app. BitTorrent is often called one of the world's best torrents client software since it was released in 2001 by Bram Cohen for Linux operating system GNU/Linux, BSD, and macOS. The software protocol allows for downloads using peer-to-peer technology without any central servers involved in transferring data over the internet.. Tech and Tipping: This method is used by BitTorrent and other peer-to-peer (P2P) programs. When a user wants to download a file, the torrent site does not host it; it instead sends out an encrypted message asking for 1 or more peers to come and retrieve it. Peers, in turn, will respond to the query asking whether they want to download the file or not. If they do, their device becomes a seeder of torrents. The BitTorrent protocol runs on top of the TCP/IP protocol. This means that a backend server is not required during operation as all work is done between peers directly communicating with each other. This is one of the reasons that BitTorrent is considered to be a decentralized technology. The BitTorrent protocol uses two identifiable port numbers: 1) port 6881 for communication, which initiates the peer-to-peer connection; and 2) port 6881+n, where n is an integer representing the following data streaming. When initiating a peer connection, the BitTorrent client needs to know what IP addresses are available for connecting to other peers in order to send/receive information about desired torrent files being shared. This 6881 port does not have to be free in order for torrents to work. It is used for all communication with other peers. The port 6881+n is used for sharing between peers while seeding torrent segments. The BitTorrent protocol uses the following fields in each message to communicate between peer nodes: 1) magic 32 bytes, 2) flags 8 bytes, 3) forward hash 24 bytes, 4) time stamp 16 bytes, 5) current time stamp 16 bytes, 6) initial delay timestamps 16 bytes, 7) onion key 16bytes, 8 ) hash of the file being shared 32 bytes. It also uses message flags to keep track of network status information such as available/unavailable/need more pieces/have finished download. The BitTorrent protocol uses the following fields to keep track of the state of download/upload of torrent segments: 1) piece length 32 bytes, 2) number of pieces 32 bytes, 3) block hash 24 bytes, 4) byte offset 28 bytes. BitTorrent uses request flooding or independent downloads to prevent malicious users from denying service to legitimate ones. The peers are requested to share chunks by several proxies with different IP addresses. If every proxy does not get an answer for a particular request, that particular proxy stops requesting that information, and another proxy continues until all the connected peers have been queried. cfa1e77820
